Smoothies made easy with a blender

A healthy way to start a day is quick and easy for me when mixing my favorite fresh and frozen fruits in a Personal Blender from Hamilton Beach.

Why I like it

Among all the blenders on the market, I chose this one for the following reasons:

  • It’s compact and fits on my small kitchen counter space
  • Its powerful stainless steel blades can crush ice cubes or hard frozen fruits
  • For two small glasses, the 14 Oz BPA-free travel cup is the perfect size
  • It is easy to clean
  • It is durable: I've been using it for over two years, and it still works like a champ

What I put in my smoothies

I typically mix a sliced apple or pear, some organic frozen berries, about 4oz each of fruit juice or coconut water, and filtered water.

On a hot summer day, blending chilled watermelon chunks and frozen fruit without any liquid or a small amount of plain yogurt makes a fantastic quick dessert.
